I am receiving an ‘Oops entrant is not recognised’ SMS reply after voting.
I am receiving an ‘Oops entrant is not recognised’ SMS reply after voting.
If you have received an SMS response message from us with the following message ‘ Oops, We didn’t recognise the entrant you are voting for or you are voting incorrectly. Please refer to cutify.co.za. Errors will be billed.’ then you are voting in the incorrect format.
I. Send unique voting ID to 42037 for 5 votes (Cost R2.00/ R0.40 per vote)
Example: SMS sc200300 to 42037II. Send unique voting ID to 38636 for 40 votes (Cost R10.00/ R0.25 per vote)
Example: SMS sc200300 to 38636III. Send unique voting ID to 42033 for 150 votes (Cost R30.00/ R0.20 per vote)
Example: SMS sc200300 to 42033Some common problems that result in error messages include:
Including a space(s) first then unique voting ID (sometimes this happens when you copy and paste);
Including other extra characters, words or phrases.
Using a unique voting ID that is not valid in our competition.
It’s not obvious when viewing your mobile phone screen that you have included spaces inadvertently so please try start a whole new SMS message making sure you don’t include spaces where there shouldn’t be spaces. -
I am not receiving an SMS response after voting via SMS
All votes cast by SMS will receive an SMS response message from us confirming receipt and confirming the number of votes received. Please allow up to 30 minutes to receive the response message.
All votes are updated on our website every 12 hours.
If you have not received an SMS response message after voting it could be for the following reasons.
Reason 1. You are messaging to the incorrect short code. Please use either 42037 (Costs R2.00); 38636 (costs R10.00) or 42033 (costs R30.00)
Reason 2. Your messages have not been sent. Please note some phones don’t indicate a failed message when messages are not sent. (Example: on an iPhone your sent messages will be in a speech bubble with a little tail, whilst messages not sent won’t have the little tail. This is easy not to notice). Please contact your mobile network provider for assistance.
Reason 3. Network/phone issues. These response messages are not considered to be the highest level of importance for your mobile network, for example a one-time pin sent by your bank. Your network may be experiencing high traffic volumes at the time of voting and the response message may be held in a queue and sent later. It is possible that they get disregarded by the network. Your phone may be in an area that is not able to receive communication from cell towers at the time.
Reason 4. Insufficient credit. Please ensure you have credit on your phone. Depending on your contract you may need to top up airtime (not data or SMS credits) to pay for the premium rate SMSs.
Reason 5. Mobile network/Contract limits. If you have previously voted and received response SMS confirmations and now are not receiving these messages then it is likely that your network or contract has a limit on how many premium rate SMS’s you can send during a month. You will need to contact your mobile network provider for assistance.
We would love to advise all voters on what the issue may be but unfortunately due to the fact there are so many networks, contracts and phones on the market we are simply unable to pinpoint what the exact issue may be.
Your mobile network provider will be able to advise accordingly.
SMS voting is not available on FNB Connect.
-
My Mobile Phone failed to send the SMS
If your mobile phone displays a failed message or indicates that the message has not been sent then please do the following:
1. Check if you have sufficient credit if you’re on pay as you go.
2. If you are on a contract your contract may require you to top up airtime (NOT data or SMS credits) in order to send premium rate SMS’s.
3. Check if your handset allows for the use of short-code SMSs. You may need to change your settings.
4. Check if there is good mobile network coverage in your area.If the problem persists, kindly contact your mobile network provider for assistance.
We would love to advise all voters on what the issue may be but unfortunately due to the fact there are so many networks, contracts and phones on the market we are simply unable to pinpoint what the exact issue may be. Your mobile network provider will be able to advise accordingly.

How does the Cute-Vote-O-Meter work?
During the competition we set the criteria for the Cute Vote-O-Meter™. Each level of the Cute Vote-O-Meter™ is shaded-in based on the amount of votes obtained for that level.
For example; you may only need a vote to make it to the first level, 100 votes to reach the second level, 500 votes to reach the third level and so on (as an example). Do not expect to see a change in your meter each time you vote.
As you progress the harder it becomes to reach the next level.
The Cute Vote-O-Meter™ can take up to 12 hours to update. From time to time, due to system maintenance and upgrading, you may not be able to view your Cute Vote-O-Meter™.
Having all blocks of the Cute Vote-O-Meter™ completely shaded in does not mean you are a winner or even in the Top 3. it just means that you are performing well.
Please Note: The Cute Vote-O-Meter™ is not the deciding factor when selecting the TOP 3 winners.
The TOP 3 are based on the most amount of votes received during the entire competition.
-
Why has our entry been paused?
Voting is actively monitored throughout the month. An entry can be ‘PAUSED’ at any time, if an *extreme number of votes are received using any of the voting method available (free and/or paid for) and investigated further.
*Please see ‘Terms and Conditions’ and ‘Help’ for more details.

Why not a panel of judges to decide the Super Cute winner?
Super Cute is an annual interactive competition rather than a subjective one. We feel that a panel of judges would be subjective when deciding the winners. We prefer our competition to be fun, interactive, and entertaining.
-
Is Super Cute a scam?
Super Cute is not a scam. Entry is free and you don’t have to vote if you don’t want to. We respect that and strive to be open, honest and fully transparent by providing access to your own voting data via a login and dashboard system.
We adhere to a Code of Conduct as set out by the Wireless Application Services Providers’ Association (WASPA). There is no-way to rig the competition and if we find anyone taking part is doing so in an unlawful way we will nullify their entry and ban them from the competition.
We believe in being open, honest and transparent and present all voting data via your dashboard. We aim to resolve all voting issues timeously if it is within our control.
Our Cute Baby competition has been running since October 2014 with Cute Kid SA launching in 2015. Cute Pet SA was launched in 2016. We launched Cute Couple SA in 2017 and Super Cute SA in 2018, both of which are annual competitions.
You can also check out our Facebook pages for each – Cute Baby, Cute Kid, Cute Pet, Cute Couple and Super Cute.
Please be aware of imitation competitions. Only the above competitions are run and operated by Cutify Media & Marketing.
-
Why don’t you use a Facebook voting system?
The use of Facebook to cast votes is open to abuse and there is limited access to manage these votes fairly.
It’s common practice in these circumstances for people to open ‘dummy’ accounts and votes can be bought.
Facebook is only used as a communication tool for current and future participants.
-

What does a '2-Stage Competition' mean?
In order to make the competition more interactive, fun and fair, Super Cute 2022 is a 2-Stage Competition.
This means that there are 2 stages of the competition;
STAGE 1 begins on the first day of November 2022 and all voting methods will be available, this includes free and paid-for voting methods. There are two elimination rounds during STAGE 1; those not actively taking part in the competition will be eliminated during the 1st elimination round and those with the least amount of votes will be eliminated during the 2nd elimination round.
The 50 entries that stand out during STAGE 1 will be selected as a 'Promoters Pick', these 50 + the leading 100 entries, create the Super Cute Top 150 who go through the 3rd/last elimination which ties into the start of STAGE 2.
STAGE 2 takes place between 24 November and noon on 30 November. To ensure that ALL entries in the Super Cute Top 150 stand a chance to win one of the three cash prizes on offer, votes are put back to zero in STAGE 2. Paid for voting methods will be disabled and only free voting methods will be available. Voting is FREE and open to anyone who has created an account.
The TOP 3 entries who receive the most FREE votes by midday on 30 November 2022, will be the winners of the competition. Terms and Conditions apply.
